III. RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES

TYPE OF RECRUITMENT INITIATIVE
(MENU SELECTION)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY

1

Internship Program

During this reporting period, the stations hosted five (5) student interns from University of Michigan at Flint, Washtenaw Community College, Madonna University, Michigan State University and Specs Howard School of Media Arts.

These student interns, each of whom received academic credit for their internship, were supervised by the Promotions and Production Directors. The interns gained hands-on experience in the Marketing, Promotions and Programming departments, “shadowed” the Promotions Director and On-Air Hosts and observed the day-to-day operations of the stations. In addition, the interns learned how to use tools and programs commonly used in the broadcast industry.

2

Management-level training regarding equal employment opportunity and preventing discrimination

On January 20, 2011, outside communications counsel conducted a telephonic training session about the FCC’s EEO rules. The stations’ Market and Business Managers participated and received written materials to assist with EEO compliance.

3

Participate in Job Fair (3)

On October 7, 2010, October 14, 2010 and October 21, 2010, the stations participated in the Broadcast Career and Networking Fairs sponsored by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters’ (“MAB”). The October 7th Fair took place on the campus of Central Michigan University, the October 14th Fair took place at Specs Howard School of Media Arts and the October 21st Fair took place on the campus of Western Michigan University. Station representatives spoke to attendees about career opportunities in broadcasting as well as job openings at the stations. Station participants included our Market and General Sales Managers, Promotions Director and all our Account Executives. These events were advertised on all stations in conjunction with the MAB’s agenda.

1 These Cumulus Licensing LLC (“Cumulus”) stations were subject to a local marketing agreement with Capstar Radio Operating Company and Capstar TX Limited Partnership together, (“Capstar”), concluding February 18, 2011. At such time, Cumulus consummated its acquisition of the stations (see FCC File Nos. BALH/BAL-20061226AAY-Z & BALH/BAL-20061226ABA-B) and established a station employment unit based in Ann Arbor, MI.
